Dear Friends,
We hope you’ve all had a wonderful November and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday. It’s December now, and it’s starting to get chillier here in the city — a great time of year to stop in for a clam chowder or lobster pot pie while you’re out shopping. Some key dates coming up: we will be closed for dinner on Monday, December 14th for our annual staff holiday party, and we will also be closed December 24th and 25th. Looking a little further ahead, we will be open New Year’s Eve for lunch only and New Year’s Day beginning at dinner.
To help you celebrate (or get through) the upcoming season we have a few new additions to our specials: Mondays we’ll be offering $1 oysters from 5-7 PM, and half-price bottles of champagne between December 26th and 31st. Our weekly specials will continue, and please remember as well that we have a daily oyster happy hour featuring $2 oysters M-F from 5-7 PM and every weekday during lunch.
If you’re in the neighborhood this Thursday or interested in learning about culinary careers, join me for an open-house panel with founder Dorothy Hamilton at the French Culinary Institute.
