Dear Friends,

We’ve had another busy month here at the restaurant, and have finally unveiled our new wine list. We’ve also got some great new cocktails, including a blueberry margarita with 901 tequila. Also unveiled, after countless months, is the park across the street. It’s a bit late in the season for picnics, but we’re still glad to see less construction and more green space! I trekked out to Long Island last weekend to film another segment for Toni On! New York, which is airing the weekend of November 14 & …

I hope some of you made it out to the New York Food & Wine Festival this weekend. I had a great time, starting with Saturday when I once again got to join Toni Senecal (this time as a festival correspondent) and film what will be part of next weekend’s TONI ON! NEW YORK, which airs Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sunday at 11:30am on WPIX Channel 11. I’m usually a little too frank to do any serious schmoozing, but I managed to get myself, a mic, and the camera man up close and personal with some big names in …

Dear Friends,
As we gradually move into fall weather, we’re busy getting ready to make some seasonal changes at the restaurant. Some recent specials to accompany the cooler temperatures have included a delicious smoked corn and lobster chowder and Ed’s lobster fries. And after this weekend’s visit to Wright’s Apple Farm, we can look forward to a lot of homemade apple pies in the coming weeks.
Also coming up this month are a number of events outside of the restaurant that I’d encourage you to check out. On Sunday, October 11th, I’ll …

Dear Friends,
It’s been a wonderful summer, and August was an excellent month for my tomato harvest and the restaurant as well. Thanks to everyone for your support! We’re excited to announce that for the month of September, we’ll be offering $2 oysters during weekday lunches as well as for a weekday happy hour from 5-7 PM. (And unlike oyster specials at other places, we’ll be offering our full selection for $2.)
My segment on Toni ON! New York aired on WPIX the weekend of August 15th and definitely brought in a …

Check out Toni On! NY on NYC Ch. 11 WPIX this Saturday August 15th at 7:30PM or Sunday the 16th at 9:30AM to watch Toni Senecal chat with me as she enjoys some of my favorite dishes at the restaurant – the lobster roll, lobster meatballs, fried oyster sliders, and crab and artichoke dip.  It was a lot of fun to shoot the show and we’re looking forward to seeing it.

You may be a long way in distance (and price) from a roadside shack in Maine or Cape Cod when dining at Ed’s Lobster Bar, but take a seat on the long white marble counter, close your eyes, sink your teeth into Ed’s signature lobster roll (prepared cold with mayonnaise) and you might just think that it’s the rocky Atlantic coast outside the window rather than bustling Lafayette Street in the middle of NoHo.
After you’ve tried the overstuffed lobster roll, if you still have room, try the oysters, raw …
