ABOUT ED'S LOBSTER BAR
Read Our Story
Ed's Lobster Bar is a seafood restaurant in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood that has been serving the freshest, most delicious lobster and seafood dishes in New York City since it opened its doors on March 16th, 2007. The restaurant was a dream come true for its chef and owner, Ed McFarland, who had always been passionate about creating exceptional seafood dishes
The restaurant had an unexpected start when, on its first day, there was a line down the street during a hail storm. Despite the weather, people were eager to try Ed's Lobster Bar's dishes, and the restaurant quickly became popular with locals and tourists alike.
Ed's Lobster Bar has been open for 16 years and has gained a loyal following of customers who appreciate the high-quality seafood dishes and the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The original location at 222 Lafayette Street featured a long white marble counter that provides customers with a front-row seat to watch the raw bar chefs in action.
In September 2021, Ed's Lobster Bar moved to a new flagship restaurant at 155 Grand Street, at the corner of Lafayette and Grand Street in SoHo. The new location serves all of the great dishes Ed’s has become known for.
